Earthing Applications-Exothermic Welding

Exothermic Welding is a simple, high efficiency, high quality metal connection process, it uses the chemical reaction heat of metal compounds as a heat source,
through the superheated (reduced) molten metal: direct or indirect heating work, in the special graphite mold cavity to form a certain shape, size, in line with the engineering needs of the fusion welding joint.

Basic characteristics of Exothermic Welding

Using the heat of chemical reaction of metal compounds as a heat source, through the superheated (reduced) molten metal, a certain shape and size of fusion welding joint is formed in the cavity of a special graphite mold, which meets the needs of the project

Application

1.Lightning protection grounding and surge protection grounding
2. Grounding engineering treatment of electrical equipment
3.Petrochemical engineering construction
4. Railway, highway and airport construction

5.Intelligent building construction
6. Cathodic anti-corrosion protection

advantage
1.
The carrying capacity (melting point) of the welding point is the same as that of the conductor and has good conductivity. After testing, the ratio of the DC resistance before and after welding is almost zero, which is unparalleled by any traditional connection method. Compared with traditional mechanical connection processes, exothermic welding is a true molecular welding, and the conductor is not damaged and there is no contact surface. The overall integrity of the interface between the conductors is not changed.
2. The welding points are resistant to corrosion like copper.
3. It is not damaged by high surge currents. Tests have shown that the conductor melts before the soldered joint in a short time under the impact of a large current.

4.It is convenient and simple to operate.

4. Reliability and durability ‌ : Copper plated steel strand has a long service life, reducing the frequency of maintenance and replacement, improving the reliability and economy ‌1 of building systems.
